All of the images on this site are the result of an International Internet Collaboration between Greg Parker (U.K.) and Noel Carboni (U.S.A.).

Maxim DL is used to  stack and colour convert the raw FITS data acquired by Greg at the New Forest Observatory located in Brockenhurst, Hampshire and the pre-processed data is  sent to Noel in Florida, USA for the main image processing work.  Maxim DL also downloads the data from the Starlight Xpress SXVF-M25C one-shot colour CCD camera and controls the autoguiding via the SXV autoguider camera.

Noel uses his fantastic Photoshop Actions to convert the FITS data into the awe-inspiring images that you can browse in the image galleries.

Images from November 2004 until August 2006 were taken on a Celestron Nexstar 11 GPS (David Hinds) with Hyperstar lens (Starizona, U.S.A.) giving a massively fast f#1.85 optic, and a Starlight Xpress SXV-H9C one-shot colour CCD camera (Telescope House). 

From September 2006 all images have been taken using a Takahashi Sky 90 refractor (True Technology Ltd.) and Starlight Xpress SXVF-M25C large format one-shot colour CCD camera (Opticstar).
