Acquired by Greg Parker at the New Forest Observatory and expertly processed by Noel Carboni in Florida U.S.A. the NFO proudly presents the whole of the North America nebula in high resolution and true colour.
This image is a 3-frame mosaic taken using the Hyperstar III lens on a C11 over 3 nights. Total imaging time is over 8-hours which is equivalent to over 48-hours on the old Sky 90 rig! At some point I will also take the three frames to the right and get the whole of the Pelican nebula as well, but given the extremely poor imaging weather we have had for the past 4 months, this part of the project might just have to wait until next year 🙁
