Corona Borealis Reprocessed
I just reprocessed the Corona Borealis 3-framer taken with the 200mm lenses and 2600MC Pro CMOS cameras. This data was collected in June 2024 under astronomical twilight.
More on Arcturus Last Night
It was clear again last night, but as the Moon was beginning to get more intrusive I only intended to work on the collimation of camera5 (200mm lens). However, after getting the best collimation I could, it felt a shame … Continue reading
M106 Region from Last Night
Another clear evening last night (we’ve had a good run this last week) and I got 13 x 10-minute subs with the 200mm lenses on the M106 region. If I make a 2-framer out of this by getting the frame … Continue reading
Arcturus from Last Night
A beautiful, completely clear, Moonless night last night, and warm as well! I imaged from 10 p.m. until 1:15 a.m. with the 200mm lenses and 2600MC Pro Cmos cameras. Two targets: A star field in Ursa Major. Arcturus. The star … Continue reading
The Markarian Chain Region
Fired up the 2 x 200mm lenses and 2600MC Pro CMOS cameras last night. Started at astronomical darkness (now 10:00 p.m.!!!) and finished when the mount hit the Meridian and also cloud started rolling in from the West at 12:30 … Continue reading
MiniWASP Array all OK!
Got out a couple of nights back to fire up the 200mm lenses and the 2600MC Pro CMOS cameras. If you remember in the last outing it looked like there might be water vapour in the optical system. So in … Continue reading
Composite Arcturus
I just combined last night’s 24 x 5-minute subs 200mm lens single framer with an older 40 x 5-minute subs 2-framer also using the 200mm lenses. This is the resulting Arcturus composite.
Arcturus
Managed to get some imaging done last night. Arcturus with the 200mm lenses and 2600MC Pro CMOS cameras. 24 x 5-minute subs. Note the “Napoleon’s Hat” asterism at the bottom of the lower spike slightly to the right.
Castor & Pollux
Last night was the 8th clear night in a row – a new record. Previously I managed to blow all the power MOSFETs in the dome rotator, so I spent all Monday morning replacing same (8 MOSFETs to de-solder, remove … Continue reading
The M44 Stargate
I am not able to keep up with the images I have taken this week as I am so unused to having several clear nights in a row. Having just changed over to UV/IR cut filters on the 200mm lenses … Continue reading
