Astronomy Now have published two of our Hyperstar images this month:
This is a fantastic result. Our image of the core of the Rosette Nebula has been published in the Sky At Night magazine on page 84.
This is a single frame Hyperstar image.
In the April 2006 issue of Astronomy Now Magazine you’ll find our image of the Flaming Star Nebula on Page 93.
This is a single frame Hyperstar image.
Someone actually wanted to do a profile on me instead of just printing pictures! Ok, they are printing pictures as well – Hyperstar/SXV-H9C images. Dark Sky Insights is the magazine of the Our Dark Skies (ODS) community where myself (as cybermystic) and Noel regularly contribute to the forums.
My thanks go to the editor Vincent Trigili for giving me the opportunity to take part as this editions member profile. if you are interested you can purchase a copy online at lulu.
We are on a roll! Sky at Night Magazine have included two of our images on this months cover CD ROM – both are two-frame Hyperstar/SXV-H9C images:
Another great result for us – Sky at Night Magazine have included two images on this months CD ROM – both are single frame Hyperstar/SXV-H9C images:
I particularly like the image of the Running Man, it shows how far we have come since taking our first images in November 2004.
Sky at Night Magazine have included our single frame Hyperstar/SXV-H9C images of M13 and NGC188 (Caldwell 1) on the cover CD ROM.
This time you’ll find us on page 84 with an image of Messier 52 and The Bubble Nebula.
Both of the these were shot single frame using the Hyperstar and SXV-H9C. Also, on the CD ROM you’ll find the two frame Hyperstar mosaic of M33 in Triangulum.
Astronomy Now Magazine are printing our picture of Messier 101 as a Messier challenge image, we are really happy with this image especially as it was incredibly cold when I was outside keeping an eye on the equipment! The image is a single frame taken on the Hyperstar/SXV-H9C combination.
Sky at Night Magazine are publishing our Pelican 5-frame Hyperstar mosaic on page 84. We are really pleased with how this image has turned out – it took a few attempts at processing before we were happy with the results. All images were taken using the Hyperstar/SXV-H9C combination – the Pelican using 5-frames, the Cave and Double Cluster being single frames.
On the CD ROM you’ll also find 3 images:
The images are shown below for good measure 🙂
