Aldebaran, the Hyades and NGC1647

Yet another 200mm lens and Trius M26C OSC CCD 2-framer. This time it’s the Aldebaran region including part of the Hyades and open cluster NGC1647 (top left). Only 2-hours (total) of 5-minute subs.

The Caph & Ruchbah Regions of Cassiopeia

These images of the Caph & Ruchbah regions of Cassiopeia are 2-frame mosaic taken using the Canon 200mm prime lenses and the Trius M26C OSC CCDs. Each frame of the Caph image was 2-hours of 10-minute subs, and each frame of the Ruchbah image was 2.5-hours of 10-minute subs.

The Twins in Gemini – Castor & Pollux

A 2-frame mosaic using the Canon 200mm prime lenses and the Trius M26C OSC CCDs. This is Castor (upper right blue star) and Pollux (lower left yellow star) in a Gemini star field. Castor frame was 20-subs at 10-minutes per sub and the Pollux frame was 18-subs at 10-minutes per sub for a total exposure time of 6 hours and 20-minutes.

M44 the Beehive Cluster Within the Stargate

I think this is probably my favourite image taken with the 200mm lenses and Trius M26C OSC CCDs so far. This is a 2-frame mosaic of M44 (the Beehive cluster in the centre) “Stargated” by the 4 central stars of Cancer the Crab. Each frame is 3-hours of 10-minute subs. And to top it all, over to the left are two Carbon stars, one in the middle, and one towards the bottom left hand corner.

The Perseus Double Cluster & Stock 2

This is a single framer of the Double Cluster and Stock 2 region taken with the 200mm lenses and M26C OSC CCDs on 2016-08-30. This is 10 x 15-minute subs and I have applied the Akira Fujii effect to bring out some of the stars better.

The Sadr Region and the North America and Pelican Nebulae in Cygnus

From 2016-10-22 is the North America & Pelican nebulae taken using the 200mm lenses and the M26C OSC CCDs. 6-hours of 20-minute subs.

From 2016-10-20 & 2016-10-26 is a 2-frame mosaic of the Sadr & Crescent region in Cygnus again taken using the 200mm lenses and M26C OSC CCDs. This is only 4.5 hours of 15-minute subs and it needs a LOT more data. Maybe I’ll be able to get some this year using the 2600MC Pro CMOS cameras.
