Supernova SN2022hrs in galaxy NGC4647
A clear Moonless sky last night and I was just going to sort out the final Sky90 on the array, which is a bit boring with good skies. So it was very fortunate that I saw there was a new … Continue reading

Hyperstar 4 Image of the Markarian Chain and M87
Last night I got another 17 x 9-minute subs on the Hyperstar 4 on the Markarian Chain region, and I added this to the 32 x 4-minute subs I collected a couple of nights earlier. The image has improved a … Continue reading

Markarian’s Chain, M87 and an Asteroid.
This is a composite Sky90/M25C and Hyperstar 4/2600MC-Pro image of the Markarian Chain region. The Sky90/M25C data is 8-hours in total, and the Hyperstar 4/2600MC-Pro data is 32 x 4-minute subs taken last night. There’s 2 asteroids in the image … Continue reading
Markarian’s Chain of Galaxies and M87 in Leo.
Got out for some Hyperstar 4 imaging last night, started at 11 p.m. and wound up at 2 a.m. Managed to get 32 x 4-minute subs on the Markarian Chain region under damp, poor visibility skies.

M44, the Beehive Cluster in the constellation Cancer
Managed to get 28 x 150-second subs on M44 last night using the Hyperstar 4 and ASI2600MC-Pro CMOS camera. Collimation was pretty good during this run.

A Composite Leo Trio Using Hyperstar 3 and Hyperstar 4 Data
This is a composite image of the Leo Trio using old HS3 data and very recent HS4 data. Still not showing the tidal tail so plenty more work needs to be done on this one.
M78 and the edge of Barnard’s Loop
Here is a composite image of M78 and the edge of Barnard’s Loop (off to the left). This is old Sky90 data combined with very recent Hyperstar4 data.
