Now 6-hours on the IC410/IC405 Region
Got a little more data on the IC410/IC405 region last night with the 200mm lenses, ASI 2600MC Pro CMOS cameras and the Optolong L-Enhace filters. I am now up to 18 x 20-minute subs. If I can get another 12 … Continue reading
The California nebula
Apart from being freezing cold – last night was also cloudless and Moonless. Managed to get 24 x 20-minute subs (8 hours) on the California nebula with the 200mm lenses, the ASI 2600MC Pro CMOS cameras, and of course the … Continue reading
Update on the Configuration of the Sky90 Array
Having proved the efficacy of the utterly superb Optolong L-Enhance filters on the 200mm lenses (with ASI 2600MC Pro CMOS cameras) – it was clearly time to fit the same thing to my Sky90s (with Trius M26C OSC CCDs). 2 … Continue reading

Composite IC410 IC405
This is a composite image of the IC410/IC405 region taken using a Sky90 refractor with an M25C OSC CCD and a pair of Canon 200mm prime lenses with ASI 2600MC Pro OSC CMOS cameras. The Sky90 data was 5-hours and … Continue reading
Composite Rosette nebula
This image is a composite of Sky90 and Hyperstar 4 data only.
The Heart of the Rose
This is the central region of the Rosette nebula. This is a composite image created using RegiStar and comprises original Hyperstar, Sky90 and Hyperstar 4 data exceeding 15-hours of total exposure time.
The Sadr Region in Cygnus
Nice clear night last night and I managed to grab 20 x 10-minute subs with the Canon 200mm prime lenses and the ASI 2600MC Pro CMOS cameras on the Sadr region. A bit perverse imaging Cygnus at the end of … Continue reading
Star Reduced Sadr Region With the 200mm Lenses
A bit of star reduction on the wide field Sadr region works wonders.
Altair Region with Star Reduction
Surprisingly, even a region which is predominantly stars can benefit from a little star reduction.

North America nebula region
Another star reduced version of an oldie. This time it’s the North America/Pelican nebula region of Cygnus taken with the 200mm lenses and the Trius M26C OSC CCDs. This is a 3-frame mosaic.
